Skye Scrambling & the Cuillin Ridge
Who is ‘Skye Scrambling & the Cuillin’ for?
We can explore scrambling and low grade climbing routes all over the Isle of Skye. The idea of this course is to tailor it to your requirements.
If you want to be guided along sections of the ridge, or do a complete ridge traverse then we can arrange that. Perhaps you wish to tick off the trickier Munros? Let us know and we can sort it for you. Alternatively if you want to use your trip to Skye as a stepping stone to the Alps, we can help you become efficient with the techniques required to look after yourself and your climbing partner on scrambling and low grade rock climbing terrain as well as the easy but exposed terrain.
This course can any length you like depending on your aspirations. Ratios will be dependent on your aspirations, please get in contact to find out more.
The Cuillin ridge can be done over 5 days or 2 depending on your level of fitness. For 2 day attempts you need to be a returning customer or have a proven level of previous experience and fitness. A 2 day traverse involves an over night bivy and needs to be attempted in perfect conditions. 5 days allows you to make up for any poor weather days and return to the comfort of a warm bed at the end of each day.

“Thanks for making the most of difficult weather conditions and getting me up the Innaccessible Pinnacle, 2 more Munros done!"

What if the weather is bad?
The weather has to be pretty bad to stop a scrambling course from running, however if high winds are forecast we have a great selection of low level venues to keep you busy.
