I prefer to tailor a course to your needs. So have just put some notes together below to give you some ideas on what I can offer.

Try Rock Climbing

Never climbed on real rock before? I can introduce you to rock climbing outside on real rock. We can even do some abseiling too if you would like. You can borrow kit, so you can find out if you like climbing before commiting to buying stuff. 

We will cover the basics and get you climbing on rock, belaying and start to teach you about how climbers keep themselves safe. We will do some low level unroped climbing called bouldering, some roped climbing - don't worry the rope will always be above your head for this ready to catch you quickly if you slip. 

Two days would give you a real feel for what rock climbing is about, one day is an option too if you are just wanting a taster to see how it goes.  You can combine as a group of friends with up to 6 people, or perhaps you would like to bring along your family - that is an option too.

Rock Climbing Skills and Development

Perhaps you are a wall climber keen to get outside, or maybe already done some outside climbing and keen to learn moreto keep yourself and your climbing partner safe. North Wales has some amazing climbing on a variety of rock types, single pitch, multi pitch, mountains and sea cliffs for developing skills, confidence and independence as a rock climber. 

We can cover many things including 

Building belays, placing gear, climbing movement, problem solving (what to do when it hasnt quite gone to plan!), abseiling,

4 day developer course 4th - 7th July  £500 per person 

Problem Solving/ Improvised Rescue

I can do a 1 day quick hit or a couple of days getting you dialed with improvised rescue skills. Skills we can look at include;

Abseiling/lowering past a knot

Prussiking

Hoisting

Escaping the system  

Rescuing from a traverse

Rescuing on abseil

Aid/Big Wall Climbing

I've climbed a few big walls including the Nose on El Capitan in Yosemite and spent time teaching others the art of aid climbing. If you aspire to climb the Nose or other aid routes I can help you fast track your journey by spending a couple of days with you getting you sorted with the basics and ready for your own adventure.

Guided Rock Climbing

You've done some climbing before and know what routes you would like to climb. Perhaps you have a list of classic routes you would like to be taken up. If so this is the way to do it. I can guide you on routes in Snowdonia or further away if you prefer. Please get in contact to discuss your requirements.
